Food index rose by 20.30 per cent in August- NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics yesterday said that the composite food index rose by 20.30 per cent in August compared to 21.03 per cent recorded in July 2021.

This further translates that food inflation continued to rise in August, however, at a slower pace than July.

In recent times, Nigeria has been faced with the huge challenge of unbearable hike in prices of food commodities.
