Sex For Grades: Akwa Ibom State University sacks Eight Lecturers After Claims of Sex Offence

The Akwa Ibom University has revoked the appointment of eight lectures over claims of sex offence and extortion on Tuesday.

This information was shared by the Vice-Chancellor of the University Prof. Eno Ibanga while briefing on the upcoming 4th and 5th Convocation to journalists, at the main campus located at Mkpat Enin, Akwa Ibom.

Some of the cases are in court presently, He also mentioned that 10 students affiliated in a secret cult were apprehended by the institution, after being caught with mini coffins, red cloths and axes on their way for a cult initiation and are now being investigated by the institution.

Prof. Ibanga spoke more on the 2000 students graduating and from both 2016/2017 session and 2017/2018 graduating year.

He speaks on trying to make the institution very sane a running for a long time by taking serious actions on the eight removed lecturers.
