Premier League ban players from shaking hands before games amid coronavirus fears

The traditional handshakes between players and officials in the Premier League games kick-off have been temporarily banned amid coronavirus fears. The Premier League confirmed that gesture will not take place ‘until further notice’ based on medical advice. The full Premier League statement says: “For health reasons, there will be no shaking of hands between players ahead of Premier League matches” “Coronavirus is spread via droplets from the nose and mouth and can be transmitted on to the hands and passed on via a handshake”.
