Tyronne Ebuehi, Samuel Kalu contracts COVID-19, withdraws from 2022 World Cup qualifier

Super Eagles duo Tyronne Ebuehi and Samuel Kalu will play no part in Nigeria’s 2022 World Cup qualifier against Cape Verde today after the pair contracted COVID-19.

Ebuehi was expected to replace Ola Aina at right-back, while Kalu was poised to take Kelechi Iheanacho’s role in the team for the encounter.

Newsmen gathered that both players were isolating in Lagos and will undergo another PCR test in the coming days.
